Welcome to Cat Tracker! This guide will help you get started and make the most of your cat care tracking experience.

GETTING STARTED

First Steps:

1. When you first open Cat Tracker, you'll see an onboarding screen that introduces the app's main features.

2. Add your first cat by tapping the "+" button in the Cats tab.

3. Fill in your cat's information: name, age (optional), breed (optional), and a photo.

4. Start tracking! You can immediately begin logging feedings, water, weight, and daily care.

MAIN FEATURES

Today Tab:

The Today tab shows you a checklist of tasks for all your cats. You can see at a glance:

- Which cats need feeding

- Water logs that need to be recorded

- Weight entries to track

- Daily care logs to complete

Tap on any task to quickly log it. Completed tasks are marked with a checkmark, making it easy to see what's done and what's pending.

Cats Tab:

This is where you manage all your cats:

- View all your cats in one place

- Tap on a cat to see their detailed profile and history

- Add new cats (Pro required for multiple cats)

- Edit cat information

- View photos, feeding history, weight trends, and more

Each cat has their own profile showing:

- Photo gallery

- Feeding logs with food type and amount

- Water intake records

- Weight tracking with visual charts

- Daily care logs (mood, litter box status, observations)

- Vet visits (Pro feature)

- Health logs (Pro feature)

Stats Tab:

View comprehensive statistics and trends:

- Feeding frequency charts

- Weight trends over time

- Achievement badges (Pro feature)

Settings Tab:

TRACKING FEATURES

Feeding Logs:

Record each meal with:

- Food type (wet, dry, treats, etc.)

- Amount

- Time of feeding

- Notes (optional)

Water Tracking:

Log when you refill water bowls or notice your cat drinking. This helps ensure proper hydration.

Weight Management:

Track your cat's weight over time:

- Enter weight measurements

- View weight trends on charts

- Monitor health changes

- Free users see last 7 days, Pro users see full history

Daily Care Logs:

Capture daily observations:

- Mood (1-5 scale)

- Litter box status (OK or Problem)

- Quick notes about behavior, activity, or concerns

Reminders & Notifications:

Set up reminders for:

- Feeding times (customizable per cat)

- Water refills

- Weight checks

- Daily care tasks

Daily Summary:

Enable daily summary notifications to get reminded if any logs are missing for the day. You can customize the notification time in Settings.

Multi-Cat Support:

Free users can track one cat. With Pro, track unlimited cats, each with their own complete profile and history.

Unlimited Photos:

Free users can add up to 3 photos per cat. Pro users can add unlimited photos to capture all your cat's best moments.

CSV Export:

Export all your data to CSV format for:

- Backup purposes

- Sharing with your veterinarian

- Personal records

- Data analysis

Advanced Charts & Statistics:

- Access full history beyond 7 days

- Detailed weight trend analysis

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How many cats can I track with the free version?

A: The free version allows you to track one cat. Upgrade to Pro to track unlimited cats.

Q: How many photos can I add per cat?

A: Free users can add up to 3 photos per cat. Pro users can add unlimited photos.

Q: Can I export my data?

A: Yes! Pro users can export all data to CSV format from the Settings tab.

Q: How do I set up reminders?

A: Go to a cat's profile, tap on the Notifications section, and set up custom reminder times for feeding, water, weight, and daily care.

Q: What happens to my data if I delete the app?

A: Your data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app without backing up, your data will be lost. Pro users can export their data to CSV for backup.

Q: Can I use the app offline?

A: Yes! Cat Tracker works completely offline. All data is stored locally on your device.

Q: How do I restore my Pro subscription?

A: Go to Settings > Premium section and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Q: What subscription options are available?

A: Cat Tracker Pro offers weekly, monthly, and annual subscription options, as well as a lifetime purchase option.

Q: Can I track multiple cats with different feeding schedules?

A: Yes! With Pro, you can set custom reminder schedules for each cat individually.

Q: How do achievements work?

A: Achievements are unlocked based on the number of activities you log (feedings, water logs, vet visits, weight entries, daily logs). Pro users can track their achievement progress and unlock badges.

Q: What's the difference between Daily Logs and Health Logs?

A: Daily Logs are quick daily observations (mood, litter box, notes). Health Logs (Pro feature) are more detailed medical records including medications, vaccinations, and can be linked to vet visits.

TIPS & BEST PRACTICES

1. Log feedings immediately after feeding to maintain accurate records

2. Set up reminders for regular feeding times to ensure consistency

3. Take photos regularly to track your cat's appearance and health visually

4. Use daily logs to note any behavioral changes or concerns

5. Export your data regularly (Pro feature) as a backup

6. Link health logs to vet visits for complete medical history tracking

7. Review statistics regularly to spot trends or changes in your cat's health

8. Use the Today tab daily to ensure nothing is missed

TROUBLESHOOTING

Notifications not working?

- Check that notifications are enabled in your device Settings > Cat Tracker

- Make sure you've granted notification permissions when prompted

- Verify reminder times are set correctly in the cat's profile

Can't add more cats?

- Free version supports one cat only

- Upgrade to Pro for multi-cat support

Photos not saving?

- Check that you've granted photo library access

- Free users are limited to 3 photos per cat

- Pro users have unlimited photo storage

Data not appearing?

- Make sure you're viewing the correct cat's profile

- Check that you've completed the log entry (tap Save/Add)

- Refresh the app by closing and reopening it
